Although Mothers’ Day was yesterday, my weekend of lovely treats started on Friday when my youngest two presented their home-made cards.
My little girl had done a lovely picture of a pink flower with a purple butterfly too. Her message was a simple “Happy Mother’s Day with Love”.
My son had made his flower picture out of buttons in yellow, pinks and greens. His message was like his sister’s but as a born charmer, he had added “You are cute!”
This year, my fave card was from my oldest son who hates art and struggles with his handwriting. He had made a pop-up card and included these words in his very best handwriting.
“You help me with things.
You help me sort out problems.
And make things right.
You make me confident and proud”
Did I well up at that? Of course I did. Maybe I am not such an inadequate mum after all.
Him Indoors did pretty well too with a weekend full of outings and treats.
Hope your Mothers’ Day went well too.
