I did my weigh in a little later than usual today. It appears that my weight has stayed the same. This is disappointing as I have eaten healthily all week and laid off the booze too.
However, I did have a tummy bug so ate nothing one day so perhaps my systems has just gone a bit haywire. I must work out where I am period wise too as that sometimes has an impact.
Fortunately, I a in an OK mood so can take the disappointment without hurtling into despair.
I now get measured too and the news there is better.
My bust is down half an inch to 38 and a half inches.
My waist is down one inch to 35 inches.
My widest part is down half an inch to 45 inches.
I have noticed a new bone this week. There is a definite hip bone that I can now feel. That has to be a good thing, right? Anyone who has not lost weight will not have a clue why such things matter but they really do.
I am still feeling very strange about wearing size 16 clothing. It feels like it is not true. Obviously, my mind is taking some time to catch up with my new body. Is that normal? Has anybody else experienced that?
A note to all those who commented positively on the inches last week. I do squeeze the flab to get these measurements as I know the smaller they are, the more I will feel motivated to stick with it. What I do is measure the same way every week so losses are real even if the way I measure is a bit tricksy.
I know people read this who are bigger than me and also smaller. Those who are attempting to lose weight are all success stories. Taking action is the thing and doing it when your mindset is right.
If now is not right for you, that is OK. Don’t beat yourself up. Just wait and the time will come. Also remember that it is a long journey and blips are allowed. We are all human.
I am still a lot bigger than I want to be. I still have the gross overhanging tummy but it is reducing. Frustratingly, it seems to be reducing far more slowly than the other parts of my body.
However, I am doing something about it which is a better plan than just letting things get even worse.
Wish me luck as I start another week of the journey.
