I have now joined an elite group of mums who I have seen around never once imagining that I would join their ranks. I am talking about women who advertise their clothes for sale “due to weight loss”
Who would have thought it?
So for 2 days, I have rifled through drawers and wardrobes throwing out clothing in sizes 24, 22 and 20. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I am not exactly a size 18 yet. More a size 19 but as the weight keeps falling off, the future’s bright and involves getting size 18s out of the storage under the bed. Or am I hiding my light under a bushel as I am size 18 on top? In fact I reckon I could get into 16s now. The issue is my lower half which refuses to catch up just yet. I have also had a big bum. I hated it but I have come to accept that it sticks out in a full semi-circle fashion and that there must be a reason those old-fashioned seaside postcards of rotund women sold so well.
For all those readers thinking size 16/18 is still huge, well done you. I know that my achievement is worth celebrating as I did not think I would make it this far. Also I am convinced that I will lost a lot more weight so tune in next year for my new slim-line version.
So I have bagged up 3 bundles of clothing and advertised them. I am now in the situation where people say they want them and then disappear into some sort of black hole. Ah well, if they go to the charity shop that is no bad thing either.
I went out to lunch in a colourful Monsoon dress today. Get me.
Now let’s look at my post at the start of this journey
It is full of lack of self-belief but I have lost over a stone and am on my way to trading in the size 18s next time round.
Hoping you see less of me next week lol.
