Baby it’s cold outside and if ever there was a need for comfort food, it is now. Soup is the perfect way to combat the freezing weather and if served in a mug, will warm up your chilly fingers too.
I was delighted to be sent some soup from Campbell’s for review. I am a big soup fan but tend to shy away from boxed soup. I don’t know why and am now a convert having tried out the new Campbell’s wild mushroom with cream and parsley flavour. It tasted luxuriously creamy without being overly calorific. Perfect for someone who is trying to eat more healthily.
It was so lovely that I got some extra boxes and have used it in sauces to go with pork dishes.
Campbell’s brings a taste of the Mediterranean to its new ready-to-serve soup with its new Selection range this winter. From Mediterranean Tomato with Red Pepper & Balsamic Vinegar to Cream of Chicken with White Wine and Tarragon, Campbell’s Selection can add some French sophistication to your mealtime, whatever the occasion.
The full range includes;
· Creamy Tomato with Mozzarella and Basil
· Mediterranean Tomato with Red Pepper & Balsamic Vinegar
· Cream of Chicken with White Wine and Tarragon
· Asparagus with Fresh Cream and Chives
· Wild Mushrooms with Fresh Cream and Parsley
All with no artificial colours or preservatives. They are inspired by Britain’s most popular soup flavours with an added twist and are made with the high quality, locally sourced ingredients in Provence, south of France.
Campbell’s Selection range is available from ASDA at an RRP 750ml pack (RRP £1.99) and the 2x300ml twin pack (RRP £1.79). It will be rolled out to other major supermarkets later in the year.
In conclusion, I love these soups because they are warming, healthy and affordable. That will do nicely.
