I love the saying Mum’s the word. It always makes me thinks of mums having fun secrets. I am hoping that Striking Mums will be something we whisper online helping mums to get their groove back.
What gets in the way of mums having full and happy lives
Is it just getting stuck in a rut?
Do we limit ourselves by letting the day drift?
Are we spending too much time online and not enough time in the real world?
Perhaps we don’t rate ourselves as highly as we should?
Maybe depression and anxiety are playing their part?
What could mums do to change things?
The answer will be different for individual mums. Examples include ..
Changing childcare arrangements
Asking for help
Getting out and about
A new job or business
So what are this week’s challenges for Striking Mums?
1. Are you match fit as a mum?
When was the last time you had a health check? Are you running away from seeking help with mental health issues? Do you have a physical niggle that you are trying to ignore? Are you up to date with your smear tests and so on?
If you are not fit, how can you move forwards fully? Remember that by looking after you, you are equipped to care for your loved ones better too.
What do you need to do on the health and fitness front?
2. What baby step can you take towards your hopes and dreams this week?
3. Who can help you on your journey? Are you reaching out to them? If not, why not?
