Today, the sunshine was appealing to me so I went forth in search of charity shop bargains even though there was a chance of the tradesman actually turning up to fix our boiler. I had my smartphone with me and town is not far away so I had an excuse.
There was a brand new Marks and Spencer dress in the shop that I have spied on several visits. It had the tag for £45 and was in perfect condition and was priced at just a fiver. Now this dress is in a size one or more realistically two sizes smaller than I am. It is, however, a very special dress and I have lost almost 2 stones recently so I have faith that I can get into it one day. Every time I have called in, I have picked up the dress and put it back thinking perhaps I was being silly even considering it.
Was it the fact I had done hours of housework? Was it the sunny weather? Who cares? Whatever it was, the dress is now mine!
I also picked up a multicoloured but mainly purple summer dress.
Finally, I saw a brand new table cloth for £2.50.
So I am a happy bunny after a day that started really badly. Charity shopping is one of the best therapies I know.
I also wanted to share a find from a few weeks ago which is a Le Creuset white fondue set. It was boxed and not used.
We changed that as you can see in this picture. I have always wanted Le Creuset in my kitchen so now feel like I have totally arrived (because I am sad like that).
The bad news was that somebody who had said I could collect a clothing bundle via NetMums has now said it is not longer available. I hate it when this happens but to be honest, think she was overpricing things really so may be good news after all.
Linking up with Magpie Monday over with Liz at the Me and My Shadow blog.
