What are the best shops for healthy eating?
As an person who has had some success with losing weight, I know how important it is to have healthy foods available at home. This can prevent you reaching for unhealthy options or telephoning for a takeaway. It also means you family are introduced to and try healthier options.
I wonder if there is a list of the best places to shop if you on a healthy living mission.
I am going to give a shout out to Iceland. I am a relatively new customer largely because we have moved near an Iceland store. I find myself shopping there more than anywhere else for food. I think the prices are good and they always seem to have good special offers available.
We all have different routes to shedding the pounds. If slimming clubs are your thing, you will find Weightwatchers meals for as little as a pound in Iceland and there are a wide range of Slimming World products too.
For me, I find their speciality meats are much lower in fat and calorie count than other meats. This means my husband gets his beloved meat but I don’t have to cook for him separately.
I am also a big fish fan and Iceland has a good range of frozen fish.
Finally, there are fresh fruit and vegetables although I do wish they would come down in price a little towards the end of the shopping day.
What is your favourite shop for food shopping?
This week I have lost half a pound which sounds like nothing but it is something. More vitally, I have had a change in my eating habits and in my mindset. My self-belief has kicked in again and I find myself actively wanting healthier options.
I also did a long country walk yesterday despite thinking it was too much for me to take on.
I sense that it is time to lose the last few stones and Iceland is going to help make that happen.
I want to point out that Iceland have not asked me to write this post and it is not sponsored in any way.
