Have you heard about the wonderful linky run by Liska over on New Mum Online?
It is called #innertruth and is the blogging successor of #mumentum that helped so many mums tackle their mummy tummies. #innertruth takes it a bit further and takes a more holistic approach to well-being.
Today, I am resolving to really kickstart my weight loss again. Sometimes it is less than ideal happenings that help you move forwards.
At the weekend, I shared my before and after photographs post with my husband. Even as I was doing so, I had a nagging internal voice telling me that it was a bad idea.
I think he probably did say some vaguely positive things but what I heard was “It would be better if you were in the same pose in both photographs”. It felt like he was bursting my little bubble. OK, I am not slim at all but I have shifted a considerable amount of weight and feel better generally. His point was logical but why could he have not just offered reassurance and a pat on the back (or even the backside!)?
What did the little incident result in?
Renewed commitment from me to shift some more stones. Two bunches of sweetheart yellow roses from the husband.
Result on both counts!
Here are the photos and my inner truth is that I am doing very well indeed whatever Him Indoors thinks.
Now pop over to the lovely Liska and see some other inner truths.
