A fresh start on the healthy living journey

Is it time to make a fresh start on the healthy living journey?

It is Blue Monday and apparently many of us are blue because we have not quite managed to live up to our expectations of a fresh start for 2016. Are your resolutions a bit wobbly or broken altogether.

It is never too late to make a fresh start.

I have struggled to be healthy in the last week with a cold and that time of the month which always makes me crave sugar and comfort food.

I almost thought about not posting at all as I am hardly a good example this week. However, I am re-branding that because if I can make a fresh start so can you!

I am getting back to listening to my Slimpod and will be stocking up on loads of healthy food options in my big weekly shop on Wednesday.

I have walked more – there is always a positive if we look hard enough.

How do you want to make a fresh start this week?

You could start with an amazing breakfast!

The Rules

Blog about healthy living in a way that you see fit. It might be some exercise you did, a healthy food choice, a lifestyle change or a recipe. It is important to link back to this post so that we can all inspire one another as we move forwards positively.

Very simply, please comment on at least two other posts and more if you’d like to and grab the badge for your own post, linking one post per week. Tweet me (@kateonthinice) once you’ve linked and please use the #BloggingToJogging tag so that I can find your posts easily to RT them and you can also use the Twitter hashtag on Instagram if you have any relevant photos.

I am so looking forward to reading your talks of health, fitness and well-being. I promise to comment on each post and to promote via my social media networks.

Please display the #bloggingtojogging badge on your post and it would also be cool if we can start engaging on Twitter and Facebook about our healthy living using #bloggingtojogging.

  1. Sorry to hear you’re struggling at the moment, but you’re totally right that it’s never too late to make a fresh start. We can turn it around anytime we want too, sometimes it’s hard but it can be done.
I hope this week sees you feeling more motivated.

  2. Success is never a stright line, sometimes we have to struggle/fall down so that we can pick ourselves back up and dust off. You may be struggling but you will come back stronger for it. #bloggingtojogging

  3. just the reminder i needed about making a fresh start – I am always very guilty of feeling like i’ve ‘blown it’ so i carry on down an unhealthy path. I had a couple of really good weeks in early december and I actually felt like i was losing weight and getting healthy and then of course christmas always feels like a set back. But today is a fresh start!

  4. Yes I was needing a bit of a boost so it’s lovely to see others too are struggling so I’m not all alone and by sharing ideas I’ve got a plan for this week which I’m feeling much happier about 🙂 Thanks Kate !

  5. I am totally at that place! It really has been hard to get back into the swing of things and I have had an ‘easy’ January off. However with a successful gym session ( whole minute of one of my PB’s) and with the return of Weight Loss Wednesday thanks to Beth, I am back on track to start tomorrow… 1st Feb off with a bang.
Thank you for allowing me to link up – Blogging to Jogging got me through last year and I am glad you posted again and you have targets and goals in sight… you can do it! Sim xx #WeightLossWednesday
