Women’s lingerie buying and how to get it right first time
Buying knickers, bras and other lovely things should be fun. However purchasing women’s lingerie for a loved one or yourself can prove challenging. Fear not as we have an expert on hand with top tips to help you get it right first time.
Women’s lingerie sizing
Size is important. I highly recommend having a subtle snoop through the labels of your special someone’s current collection. Bra sizing is a combination of numbers and letters – for example 34B, 32DD and knickers will be labeled with numbers 8, 10, 12 – or a simple S, M, L. Jot the sizes down and take them shopping with you.
Knickers
The bottom line of lingerie is getting the brief right. Do you more often see her in a fuller style brief or shorty, or a thong? Most ranges offer more than one style of bottom so it’s a great idea to give her two pairs for variety in how to wear her new set – particularly if it’s a less practical ouvert, starburst or bow-tie brief. And, yes – it must always be a matching set!
Picture perfect
The perfect gift is even more luxurious when it stirs hearts and minds. Would she prefer a feminine set with a subtly sexy edge? Or something altogether more adventurous…a jewel coloured set with suspenders, or a cup-less bra & ouvert knicker?
Crucially you want to feel confident your other-half will look good and feel great in the gift you chose for her so do your homework on working out sizes, think about her own personal style and choose with confidence.
