Why I Love To Update At Least One Room In My House Each Year

“Home is the starting place of love, hopes, and dreams.” This quote I came across randomly on the Internet mirrors the sanctity I feel for the place I call my own. For many of us, home is the result of blood and sweat, and we treasure our abode.

With this article, I wish to share my thoughts and tips on keeping your home looking fresh and lively, primarily through the current situation, which requires us to stay at home most of the time. I take advantage of removable wallpapers to regularly change room décors. Why, you may ask? These wallpapers are not only affordable but are also easy to install and remove. Since I stay alone, I use my free time to carry on home upgrades. My current favorite, or let’s say my all-time favorite is the tropical wallpaper. With many options, these wallpapers give me the freedom to provide a new look for every room every time.

I am the kind of person who likes change. I tend to get bored quickly with décor, which makes it essential for me to change my décor frequently. To ensure that I don’t go overboard with changing everything frequently, I have a target to update one room per year. This helps me keep costs under control while ensuring I enjoy a fresh-looking home regularly.

My freelance work nature requires me to work from home for the most part. For this reason, I am particular about the upkeep of my house. Principles like minimalism and decluttering have had a significant influence on the way I think about my home and life as well.

My all-time favorite trends in terms of interiors and décor include the tropical and botanical styles. I love nature and spent my childhood on the coast. I must say this has largely influenced my taste in interiors. If you come to my home, you will find shades of greens, blues, greys, yellows, and oranges. I also love to have accessories made of materials such as jute and rattan. For example, jute baskets in all rooms act as a catch-all for bits and pieces and at odds and ends. Ceramic pottery lamps are another favorite of mine. For rugs, I prefer jute. The material is sustainable, eco-friendly, inexpensive, and easy to maintain.

I also prefer furniture made of wood and iron, again sustainable and eco-friendly. Rattan furniture can be an excellent addition to any home. Made from dried palm, the furniture pieces are lightweight, which means you can easily move them from one room to another, giving you plenty of opportunities to redo rooms. Add some cushions and pillows in bright and bold colors, and you have focal furniture. I often follow this design idea of mixing and matching furniture in different rooms and keep changing décor themes. The core theme continues to be nature, which gives me plenty of room to redecorate and rearrange.

Regularly upgrading your home can be quite a breeze if you stick to a few basic design and theme principles. The availability of removable wallpapers makes the process of upgrades that much more easy and affordable. If you are planning your home or room upgrade and are looking for a good place to start, my all-time favorite is the tropical wallpapers. You can use this as a canvas to build your design ideas and themes.

I hope you enjoy reading this article and find inspiration to update your home!!!
