Halloween is a special time of year in our family. It falls in the week my son was born and I remember thinking what a wonderful fun-filled birthday it would be if he turned up on October 31st. My teenage daughter has always said she prefers Halloween to Christmas. As you can see, I need to make a big deal about this particular season. Here are my ideas for the best Halloween Gifts for 2022.

I always used to be cautious at the idea of my children going trick or treating. When they were tiny, I only allowed them to go to family members in search of treats and they didn’t like that one bit. These days they are much older and independent so they can have the full Halloween experience with their mum’s full approval. You could throw in a Thick Thighs and Pumpkin Pies mug for the cuppa I will be enjoying after all my hard work in the kitchen.

You can have so much family fun decorating the house for Halloween. It doesn’t have to cost a lot of money if you use charity shops and pound stores. Encourage your family members to get creative with arts and crafts. Halloween is one of those seasons that just keeps on giving when it comes to full on quality time together as a family. Invite neighbours, friends and colleagues to join in with your festivities. With the cost of living crisis, every opportunity to bring your local community together will help us all feel so much better.
