It is said that “Blessed are the ones who are curious for they shall have uncountable adventures and some awesome to tell before they die”. People travel to explore the world and live to tell the tales of their numerous adventures.

And let’s not forget the fact that every time a girl travels, it elevates the confidence and boosts the sense of self-dependence.

So, are you one of those adventurous women who enjoy road trips and love heading out in the world with your loved ones? Or are you a solo female traveller taking to the road alone? Everyone wants an unforgettable journey, especially on a road trip. But, did you pack these road trip essentials for your next vacation? If you have no idea about what travel essentials I am talking about. Don’t worry. Let’s look at some road trip essentials you need to pack for your road trip ASAP.

  • Keep documents first on your checklist.

Before heading out for a road trip, you must check for all the necessary documents in your backpack. For example, if you rented a trailer to go for a long road trip, make sure you carry your driver’s license, registration, and other documents that need to stay with you during the entire trip.

You can also keep the copies of these documents, just to be on the safer side. Also, you need to keep a check on the legal or medical documents that could be asked to produce by the authorities. Due to Covid-19, you might also have to produce your medical certificate to the authorities.

Do not forget to keep your identity cards and other ids as well. Anything could be asked by the local authorities anywhere. It is better to be Safe than Sorry.

  • Emergency Tool Kit should contain everything you need in case of a potential emergency.

No matter how safer the world gets, it is always risky for anyone without a bag labeled “Emergency tool kit.”

The experienced travelers have observed that there are innumerable problems such as flat tires and the breaking down of the car’s engine. And you wouldn’t want these hurdles to ruin your trip. Right?

So, what can you do to stay clear of these hurdles?

It is advised that you must be well equipped with an emergency toolkit that contains batteries, light sticks, reflective vests, cables, and other necessary care tools.

And yes, don’t forget to pack that pepper spray. There are a bunch of weirdos out there who can harm you and ruin your trip. And if you are traveling alone, pepper spray will always be your trusted friend during an entire trip.

This emergency toolkit can also include some spare parts. In case of an emergency, it would be easier to repair or change those faulty parts of the vehicle you choose for your road trip. Extra screws, tires, and cables can be beneficial in saving you from any bumps during your adventure.

  • Empty fuel tank to avoid any hassle.

Suppose you rented a trailer, and in the middle of nowhere, you are out of fuel or gas. In such a situation, you can use an empty fuel tank that can carry some gasoline. Either ask for help from the local people or head out to the nearest service station to fill up the tank in your trailer.

You might be thinking that why shouldn’t you carry a filled tank, that can really save you from all this trouble. The answer to this is, fuel or gasoline is flammable liquids. So, it’s not safe to keep that “bomb” in your trailer for the rest of your trip.

  • Manuals can come in handy, especially for newbie drivers.

First of all, it is very important for you to check the vehicle you choose for your vacation. The experts at often suggest that whenever you choose a trailer for the road trips, make sure it includes everything to meet your needs. It should have enough space and well-designed to comfort you during your trip.

Now, imagine this; the trailer you rented for your road trip broke down in the middle of the road, and you have no clue about how to work with those wires and stuff.

How are you planning to repair the damage?

If you haven’t gone for a long road trip before, make sure that you carry the manual. It will act as a map and will guide you in case of a situation like this. The manual contains all the information you would need to fix the bugs in the engine. From measuring the exact tire pressure to topping up fluids, there is everything you need to know about your trailer.

  • Basic Medical Assistance to manage all kinds of potential emergencies.

Every travel checklist must contain the medicines and the first aid kit. This kit should contain antiseptics, bandages, doctor’s tape, aspirins, cotton, a thermometer, a pair of scissors, tampons, and different types of pain reliefs.

It could come in handy if you get involved in an accident. You must know how to treat a wound in case of any emergency. Do not forget to add the Covid-19 essentials such as extra masks, sanitizers, and soaps to stay away from the deadly virus.

  • Emergency contact sheet

This might sound cliché, but keeping an emergency contact sheet with you has always been a smart idea. Even before the advanced technology, people used to keep this sheet with them while traveling.

This sheet includes phone numbers of family and friends that can be contacted in case of an emergency.

Also, put in some other emergency contacts of authorities such as ambulance, police, and towing services. This sheet is indeed convenient in case of an emergency or when technology fails you.

There are other essentials to consider as well, such as cash, trash bags, cameras, torches, and of course, food to keep you sustained during your trip.
