Starting A Blog

Starting a new blog – Rachel’s story

Starting a new blog is a very exciting time and today Rachel shares her hopes for 2018 regarding her new blog

Starting A New Blog

“I am really excited about starting my brand new blog and nervous at the same time. I used to blog, it was quite successful but I had a mental blip and hated it. I was stressed, tired and depressed. I thought the only way out into the light again was to completely delete everything. All my social media accounts and my blog.

Looking back now I still don’t know if it was the right thing to do or not but I can not change the past. It must have happened for a reason and it has given me a fresh blank canvas to start all over again.

I don’t particularly have a blogging niche as yet. I have so many ideas going through my head so I will see where my ideas take me!

In my head I see myself with a successful blog and gaining an income so I can work from home freelancing but in reality I don’t have enough technical knowledge to freelance haha! I can barely manage to work my blog (embarrassing I know!).

I have set myself 2 goals for 2018 blog wise.

  1. I will start taking regular breaks away from any computer screens.
  2. To increase my self confidence, to be proud of my blog and just enjoy writing. I worry far too much what others think. That must stop!

I am really looking forward to 2018. I plan to attend BlogOn in May which I am super excited about. I did not attend any blogging conferences last year. We are also planning on going to DisneyLand Paris, we have never been before so we are very excited!”

Why not give Rachel some support at the start of her new blogging journey?

I think it was really brave of Rachel to speak so openly about starting a new blog. Will you be starting a new blog for 2018?

Welcome back to blogging lovely. My blog has been going for over a year but I am about to rebrand so I kind of feel like I’m just starting out – which it is really . I’m hoping to take the blog in a bit of a new direction, but like you mentioned, I have so many ideas that it’s hard to niche down. Best of luck to you x #TriumphantTales

Good luck next year!! I think goals really help people stick to what they want to achieve and as long as there isnt too much pressure, it can be done and then some!
Thank you for sharing this with us at #TriumphantTales. I hope to see you back next year! Merry Christmas Lovely!
