Autumn Sunday Reflections – 11 of them!
Welcome my Autumn Sunday reflections.
Life moves so quickly that it’s easy to rush from one week to the next without stopping to notice what we’ve learned, achieved, worried about, enjoyed or simply survived. So each week, I’ll be sharing 11 Sunday reflections from my week. Some will be light-hearted, some thought-provoking, and some deeply personal.
My hope is that these posts encourage other women to pause for a few minutes and reflect on their own week too. What made you smile? What challenged you? What are you learning about yourself as your life continues to evolve?
Autumn Sunday reflections
Here are this week’s 11 reflections.
- My neurodiverse daughter felt the fear and did it anyway making a success of Freshers’ Week.
- It looks like my younger son is coming home to roost for a while. This gives me great joy.
- A certain gentleman who took a rain check last Sunday texted later in the day offering to meet that afternoon. I missed the text!
- I went with said gentleman to see the National Theatre showing at local cinema of The Misanthrope. I found it fantastic even if a guy behind me yawned throughout and other folks said it was not as funny as they thought it would be.
- I drink alcohol rarely these days so really enjoyed a Bacardi and coke this week. Just the one.
- I am stunned at my blog viewing and reader numbers. Huge surges in numbers since August. I appreciate every view, like, comment and social share.
- I am loving reading my new novel for October’s book club. It is a real demonstration of the utter beauty of language. I do love books that introduce me to new words.
- I made a GP appointment as my health is not currently as good as it could be.
- I am setting better boundaries which is so vital in life and something I struggle with. Ultimately, setting them is you honouring yourself as you should.
- A family member who had put off an eye test for too long found out they need the eye hospital. Please look after your eyes.
- I am giggling at little as I end these weekly reflections. Just as one young adult take off to university, another one flies back. As my late mum used to say, life tends to work out as it should in the end.
As the leaves begin to turn and the days grow shorter, I’m reminded that every season brings its own lessons. Even the most ordinary autumn weeks are filled with moments of change, unexpected joys, challenges to navigate, and reasons to be grateful. Sometimes we make great strides towards our goals. Sometimes we simply keep going when life feels heavy. Both are worth celebrating.
I’d love to encourage you to take five minutes today and reflect on your own week. What coloured your days? What moments made you smile? What are you proud of? And as we move further into this new season, what would you like to carry forward and nurture in the weeks ahead? 🍂✨
I’ll be back next Sunday with another 11 reflections. Until then, be kind to yourself, celebrate the small wins, enjoy taking a break for your elevenses and remember that every chapter of life has something to teach us.
What would make your own list this week?
Every woman carries moments that shaped her. If you feel ready to share one of yours, you’re welcome to add it to my What’s Your Story? space — a gentle corner of the internet where real voices matter.
